• “...there’s this betting pool for the first year that there is a one-person billion-dollar company. Which would have been unimaginable without AI and now will happen.”

But no one using AI has generated/printed money.

Because money becomes and meaningless. That’s not how the economy works.

We have businesses who think building funnels or endless content with AI will make them rich, but then most content became meaningless and untrustworthy.

  • “We will be able to cure cancer with AI”.

But if it was possible, “AI” would also be able to create pandemics. Has anyone even bothered to think in this direction?

The Death of Trust and Renaissance of Being Fake

This is the new renaissance.

Of lies and gaslighting.

Of not doing one thing properly, but second guessing everything.

Of building lies on top of lies on top of lies.

This is exactly how “AI” is built - layers of Neural networks, RAGs, computation and more. But I won’t nerd out on all of this, because this just isn’t in my path of curiosity to dive deeper than I already have in my data science and analytics days.

We have people who aren’t great writers or mastered it enough to to stand out teaching others how to be great writers. We have people who aren’t great coders, “vibe coding” a new app weekly .

See whatever sticks as a mindset is eroding our world and consciousness one lie at a time.

  • We’ll create abundance on planet Earth, so no one has to work again. ‘There will be UBI and state-controlled distribution so there’s an abundance of medicine, food, and everything you want.’

But the economy is just alive by people teaching others how to sell, distribute or teach “AI”.

Just learn artificial intelligence.

This sentence is so wrong.

Data scientists, analysts and ML/data engineers aside - for anyone else, this sentence is the biggest paradox in itself and I won’t explain away the joke.

Their definition of creativity is generation. Fit it into a box and sell it.

But to start - creativity by definiton can’t be fit into a box. It is expansive and discovery by default and you become creative when you figure out the shortest path to walk for discovery. In you own unique way - not jump from point A → Z in 5 seconds.

That’s the thing about “AI” though - it doesn’t matter if you give it out A + B or endless letters as a combination in the form of a sentence/prompt, the end result is going to be whatever seems “right for you”.

If you’re a creative person (in survival or growth mode), since November 2022 you’ve been forced to shrink. Trying to justify your value to organizations, clients, and maybe even yourself. Who even are you? What’s the meaning of life, art and everything we love to do as a species?

It’s not just 2022 that did this - to be honest, anyone who has anything different to say stands out, and just can’t fit in the system that most people follow.

And there’s a reason for that. It’s called seeing reality different. By default, artists, creatives don’t fit into the mold that society, governments, and higher ups like to impose to exert power and control. But if you see through the facade, you know that you’d rather focus on creative arts rather than race for power and superficial layers of reality.

The story and the narrative from the ones who love power beyond anything else is - “we don’t need you“. But you need us (our “AI”) to live and make art. To be a parent, a writer, a coach, a photographer, anything.

Because what you do can be “replaced” by a chatbot or a pixel/frame generating machine. Anything with a creative gene in their DNA has been so busy trying to fit their personality into a box, something that could be easy to buy and sell on repeat.

The Monstrous Lie:

“...I’m asking you to trust me. Find us a new home. And by the time you return, I will have solved the problem of gravity.” Dr. Brand (Interstellar)

Is life imitating art or the other way around?

See, sometimes innovation and discovery may need a bit of lying and deception, and marketing is largely amplifying and manipulating an image. If you sold “AI” as a LLM wrapper, no one would get what it is, and even buy it - or hype it - and for that very reason, no one knew even the existence of RAGs, Transformer models, Neural networks unless they belonged to the computer science and ML industry.

This “thing” has been around since the 80s and before. But the difference is lies by some deception artists that ruin it for everyone else in the industry.

But because of this monstrous lie, the general public, artists, and well - by and by - the economy is suffering, or going through a metamorphosis into something better.

It may take time for the bubble to pop, but in the meantime, the ones on the path of mastery and building a life for themselves have to do something different.

Handle things differently and design how they live in this reality where we see more people betting their lives and businesses on a lie.

We all want to fake ourselves to death with words that aren’t ours, with actions not indicative of our real world, and with perceptions of grandeur not linked to our identity.

When you see that most people aren’t even experts at what they’re doing and constantly talking about “replacing” this and that expert, X practice is dead or something else is dead.

No craft ever dies, it just evolves.

As a marketer, a creator, when you see through the facade and fake marketing, the irony behind them hiring humans and marketing claims that fall flat on their face, you can’t help but laugh. Sometimes with sadness.

The Power of Repetitive Fear Messaging

Ask anyone who’s selling anything “AI” related is using have “FOMO” as the marketing angle and message to sell.

We’re nowhere near AGI, but a chatbot on steroids that trains harder on stolen data than most people train their brain on real world data to make meaning of things.

FEAR OF MISSING OUT.

Yes, it needed to be spelt to put my point across.

The power of governments and people to mislead, lie, and deceive with fear messaging should be studied, and how most people aren’t able to focus on doing anything “real” with their lives.

How most of media, algorithmic data feeds are misinformation campaigns to keep us polarized, divided and unfocused and just depend on their billionaire-enriching-government-surveillance-boosting “tool”.

Most of the population and businesses are being brainwashed into three lies put out on repeat:

  1. “AI” exists. (True AGI/AI that can think for itself instead of a neural network is dependent on a new source of energy and matter to be discovered.)

  2. “AI” will take your job, and “replace” you.

  3. Without “XYZ” model, you’re going to be left behind.

We have a multi-dimensional lie repeated to the society through the power of repeated ideological fear messaging. Repeat it enough and it becomes true in the masses leading to mass illusion.

I have one opinion of which I’m sure of after all these years of testing, tinkering, seeing AI behind the scenes, using extensively and going crazy with it :

FUCK “AI”.

The Lie of AI: A Life Built on Lies

The lie you buy and sell every month is the fact that your life can change with small steps without changing anything. Things will get better some You can always change things around, and design the dream life you want with certain steps you take. It is often how people

Those steps always moved with time, concrete iterative thinking and you learned from the mistakes. Now it’s the “AI” bill that you think gets you believing you’ve built an audience, an app, a meaningful website, even a therapist or a girlfriend. But we won’t go there.

The one thing that makes anyone get up in the morning and do anything has to do with a strong WHY they’re either running from or running towards.

Pains and desires. Most people when not numb, or in survival run towards desire. The meter keeps shifting, but is more inclined toward avoiding pain. Both keep on changing as per the economy, the season of life and business you’re currently in.

But the one thing that is constant on both sides - is how you need to do something about your life daily to move the needle in the right direction.

And it takes a solid belief system, self-esteem, iterative learning to repeat those steps every day to get the result you want. But if you haven’t created something, made something with effort, and it’s just handed to you, you just won’t have the mindset to retain and build on it.

It takes belief to sell the “creation” you made - either in the form of an app, a course, a game, anything you have to offer in the market.

Craftsmanship and Your Relationship with Self: The Incongruence Theory

The incongruence theory means that there’s a gap between our ideal self - and our real self. So a gap between real and perception of real of our own identity.

You close this gap by doing what you need to do to build trust, move forward in life, and lead a more fulfilling life.

You can build self-belief by building things that mean something to you, not your client target - (yes it’s necessary - more on that in a future letter).

You take on a project to solve a pain for yourself, a need for artistic expression, and to right a wrong. But if you don’t know what’s fake and real, because the gap is wider each day you don’t work on it, someone else is going to make it. And they’re going to make it worse and not your taste or meaningless.

“AI” can’t generate people, meaning, taste, judgment, or print you money you need for survival. Or give you your purpose in life. It has no backbone or best-case thinking for you - unless you want to feed it limitless data of your personality for surveillance. Because guess what, it’s not on your private PC, it’s on the cloud.

That said, while most of the world is believing and seeing in this lie that can generate you an entire website, marketing strategy, and anything else you believe matters to you - it won’t matter to a lot of people 5 years down the road. Whether it goes away or not, most people don’t understand one thing that’s deeply embedded in our minds.

“Same doesn’t sell well”

Because it’s built on a lie.

“AI’s not going anywhere”

We don’t know anything. Not if Nuclear War starts tomorrow morning, not if “AI” stays here. There is nothing “like history” in this case where humanity can predict what happens when most of people living on the planet don’t have work, purpose or any meaning to do anything except serve the AI overlords. And definitely not, if “AI” is going anywhere or not.

What we do know for a fact is that every business needs a profit to be sustainable or volumetric revenue if the long-term trajectory of growth is at hand. Every single shortcut/scam promises the world and underdelivers. The same is happening here. It’s unsustainable from a revenue, energetic point of view before we even get into the humanities side of it all.

The bubble may pop, or it may evolve if scientists find a new source of energy and matter in 5-10-20 years. Who knows!? Definitely not the AI sellers fearmongering..

There’s hope for humanity in creative leaders whose body of work, and intention is to help others. Their work outlasts longer than a funnel, a stolen framework, because they win trust in spades, step by step over years - and we’re in a trust market now.

“AI” is trained on data that’s stolen IP, frameworks, entire books, only to sell the lie that even the stolen content is “AI-generated”. It’s trained on what already exists - pirated content, free content, newly generated content. It’s not just plain text unfiltered data, countless images, songs, data of any kind of internet is being uploaded/has been uploaded to train these models at the benefit of the corpos and the expense of the artists.

But it lacks real world survival skills, taste and judgement to take the next step to move towards building something. There’s content everywhere, and it’s getting harder by the day to tell what’s real and what’s not.

But one thing that most people fail to understand is how they need training data too. Real data, that means something and matters to you on a deeper level. It makes you feel something, and is sticky enough for you to dive deeper, and follow your curiosity on.

We’re all the average of the people/sources/activities and choices we make in our lives. And the recursive loop of “AI” telling you lies about yourself, making you believe it, mixed with the mass propaganda isn’t in your best interest.

There can be a lot of debate on humans and any person using pirated content - it’s part of our world. And how that somehow justifies “AI” - using stolen content.

But Anthropic ironically went into freefall when their own IP leaked last week. And unlike Anthropic, there’s nothing you can do unless you’re a megacorp able to control hardware and distribution about this.

We’re all waiting (at least the people I stand for) for the AI bubble to pop, for the debt-ridden “AI” companies to fall flat on their face, and things to go back to normal. We’ve had two dominos start falling - Sora AI, and Anthropic source code being leaked, we’re seeing exactly how greedy some parts of humanity are. Greed begets greed. Thievery begets thievery.

See, nothing’s original until you make it so unique, so timeless that it is attached to your personality, name, or “brand”. You’re forever associated with it. Even in this day and age it’s possible. But it sure isn’t going to be second guessed into oblivion by a word machine.

Franz Kafka, JRR Tolkien, Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Hideo Kojima, Hayao Miyazaki, among countless other arists - they all have a unique style and method/psychology of thinking that is forever going to be associated with their body of work. I might explore this later in a newsletter.

They don’t teach it in a course. They’re too busy doing it. They all developed something unique and most of humanity is just busy rippin off their work. It’s no concern for them, but for an up and coming artist just trying to get started? That’s up for debate.

How much of a ship is still the same if all it’s parts have been replaced or made anew? Is it a new ship after all of its old parts have been replaced?

Well, to navigate the stormy waters we’re currently in, the best you can do is to start the process of building a real ship with your own skills, time and effort. Everyone seems to have bought the story that “AI“ can do anything they can. Mostly because “AI” does the mind numbing grunt work half-assed.

Thing is, nothing is inherently “original”. What we all do is the art of remixing, repackaging, and associating our own personality, suffering and identity with creativity. But, what the Tech Bros at Silicon Valley follow and is rampant across their industry is a weird spin on this philosophy as a license to never innovate, but steal.

“Evil is not able to create anything new, it can only distort and destroy what has been invented or made by the forces of good.” - JRR Tolkien

So, to build your ship and your story line, or a timeless brand that revolves around your work solving problems for your own self. That’s the purpose of your art, your body of work that can’t be rented, stolen, and built on.

Yes, we live in a world where anyone can copy your offer, design, style, but for how long? Grifters and scam artists have always been there, and will continue to be there.

“Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.” - Frank Herbert, Dune

The only way to build your ship is to do it in a layered structure that focuses on your own way of doing things, not out of ego, but a mix of curiousity and judgment.

You can build a ship for your best true fans, help them and live out your life with the people and fans who want to come onboard. Ignore everything else. Because there’s a blackhole of meaninglessness the moment you stop building something meaningful.

Beauty is found on the journey

We can talk circles about “AI” being real, or it being able to do your “job” or not, but in the end, the transformation and results sell and how business works.

But there’s also a lot to be said about the path to greatness being no shortcut. Most people think a first draft by “AI” is a solid ground to start from. But that’s like planning a trip to your dream and finding yourself somewhere else off-route without knowing you even wanted to be there in the first place. Now you have to make the journey again.

There are always two schools of thought about everything. How most of humanity always ends up with a binary belief system for anything and everything. It has to be either black and white. That’s more than fine for most people, but there are always nuances.

The nuance here is how you need to train anyone or yourself to recognize both taste and the greatness of the journey. There’s stuff you can find on the journey through the process of observation and discovery, which is all creativity is about.

You don’t travel by apparition like in Harry Potter (although that would be cool - even that would get irritating real fast), but you still enjoy the trip. Why even bother living your life or going through all you do and have everything meaningful taken away for the chase of the end result.

Capitalism went wrong with trying to maximize profits over meaning, and that will be the death of it, not a roided-chatbot or pixel/frame generating machine. Life is beautiful, and it’s worth living, otherwise it becomes meaningless without the pursuit of happiness and journey.

We live and love to do joyful things again and again.

Watch your favorite fantasy on repeat religiously every year or more times. Go out eating every week, or go to the gym to build strength because it builds you up mentally and physically.

But unfortunately, someone who’s used to living in a box wouldn’t ever understand any of this. How there’s more to life instead of living in a box and thinking the end result matters.

Jobs weren’t/aren’t meaningless if they matter/provide for your family. It’s realizing you don’t want to do it for the end result of retiring at 65 and having wasted 30/40+ years on repeat without any discovery of what could have been if you ventured outside your boundaries.

Creativity and building a real business and life is what we’re here for, not to click a button/inject a dose/end everything for the results. If this resonates, feel free to sign up for a waitlist for my upcoming offer where I am helping others like you to find meaning, purpose and most importantly find direction in chaos and confusion.
